Dallas World Aquarium

The Dallas World Aquarium is open from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm daily. Admission for Adults is $20.95, Children aged 2-12 cost $14. 95 and children under two are free. The Aquarium features a coral reef, a kelp eco-system and a 20,000-gallon walkthrough tunnel. This tunnel is home to hundreds of different types of Indo-Pacific fish. There are also Pot-Bellied Seahorses, Harlequin Shrimp and Colt Coral just to name a few of the species that call this enormous marine aquarium home. The Mundo Maya exhibit features a complete immersion into the Mayan folklore and culture, the highlight of this exhibit is a 400,000 gallon walk through tank that is filled with the 3 species of sharks, sea turtles, and rays that call the Yucatan Peninsula home. The Orinoco exhibit is home to the animals of the rainforest and is a seven story exhibit which emphasizes the bio-diversity of the South American rainforest, with emphasis on conservation. The South Africa exhibit showcases Black-footed penguins and Shoebill Storks. During the summer this botanical area is bursting with all sorts of unique reptiles and amphibians from Madagascar. Borneo is a winding path that features a glimpse of all the birds and animals that are on exhibit at the Dallas World Aquarium. There are four restaurants located inside the aquarium each one with a different theme and food from the region of the world it represents. This fascinating and educational outing is only 7.9 miles from our hotel.
